    ST fiber optic adapters are all threaded type, with metal housing, single mode ones are with zirconia sleeves and multimode ones are with phosphorous bronze sleeves. ST fiber optic adapters are simplex adapters. ST connectors are also available in pre-assembled (one-piece) versions, and in unassembled kits.
