FC fiber optic adapter: there are three main kinds of FC fiber optic adapters: square type, single 'D' type and double also called 'DD' type. All FC fiber optic adapters are with metal housing, single mode FC fiber optic adapters are with zirconia sleeves, multimode FC fiber optic adapters are with phosphorous bronze sleeves. FC connectors are also available in pre-assembled (one-piece) versions, and in unassembled kits.
